Handmade in Italy
Cheelettos - our vegan high heels - are handmade in Vigevano, near Milan, by the family enterprise Vigens, which has been hand-making luxury shoes for the most prestigious Italian and international fashion brands for over sixty years.
Vigens’ footwear has won international awards, and around fifty styles have been selected to be housed in the permanent archive of the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
Drawing on this wealth of experience, our Cheelettos combine sustainability and innovation with the luxury shoe-making tradition of Italian artisans to shape the next generation of vegan luxury high heels.

Vegan leather
Conscious of the adverse effects of the leather industry on people, animals and the planet, we only work with premium vegan leather that is responsibly sourced and ethically produced in Europe.
Currently, we work with bio-based vegan leather made from corn and mycelium.
Our vegan corn leather is meticulously crafted using bio-polyols derived from non-food, GMO-free corn crops and recycled PES from plastic bottles. These materials are USDA certified, with an impressive organic content ranging between 48% and 75%—an achievement we are particularly proud of.
Our vegan mycelium leather is made from the underground network of the thread-like root structure of mushrooms, which sequesters up to 30% of CO2, benefiting plants and trees. These threads thrive on sugary molasses, producing citric acid and mycelium as by-products. It is supported by FSC and GRS-certified materials.
This mycelium innovation is a game-changer in fashion, perfectly aligning with Cheetah Stories’ commitment to eco-friendly processes.

After twelve months of dedicated research, we've crafted a sole and footbed that ensures pain-free wear of Cheelettos for hours. We don't just add padding to the shoe; we completely revolutionize its construction, prioritizing comfort and style.
TThe key to this unprecedented comfort lies in our innovative imitation of the structural marvel of the cheetah paw. When you slip into Cheelettos, you'll notice a remarkable difference. Thanks to the arch support, your weight is more evenly distributed across your foot. Unlike traditional high heels, where up to 80% of your body weight rests on the balls and toes, Cheelettos also support your mid- and rearfoot, significantly reducing the impact on the balls of your feet.
Where the front of your feet do make contact with the ground, they're greeted by a plush cushion crafted from organic natural latex and gel to protect the bones and absorb the shock of your stops, transforming each step into a cloud-like kiss for your feet.
Finally, together with a green technology lab, we developed an exclusive lining made from corn and recycled fibres that breathes and regulates the foot temperature.

Handmade at a family-owned, zero-CO2 emission factory located only a 30-minute drive from Vigevano, where your Cheelettos are made, your shoe box is crafted from 100% recycled cardboard, printed on FSC paper, and laminated with eco-plastic.
Designed by Jay Van Schaik, this box is meant to be kept and displayed.
